( Ha! I drafted this post yesterday, got home late, and never finished it. Oops!)
I would put this week at about 85% acceptability. Dan sanded the floors and I’m still slowly working my way through the library books I had to renew. (Oh, the shame!) I spent a lot of time in bed with the animals while Dan was sanding since they were both afraid of it, and I just didn’t want to listen to it. The three of us would park ourselves right in front of the a/c and hang out for a few hours while Dan toiled away, and now we have a pretty beautiful looking dining room to show for it. All that’s left is to stain it, and we’ll have our first room “done.” (There could be more done, like painting the trim, but all the big stuff will be finished.)
I also got my hair done again on Saturday so it’s more red, and I swear I looked like a Russian spy or something after my mom styled it. She puts a little more effort into blow drying it than I do. I tend to just let it air dry, then it gradually becomes a nest throughout the day, mostly due to bike rides, but also because I need a trim soon. Speaking of my bike–I’m in love. I’m more in love than I was when I posted about it on Monday. I got used to the height quickly, and now I feel so comfortable and happy on it. I just want to ride my bike everywhere.

“It’s Friday; I’m in Love” is a (mostly) weekly gratitude post. It aims to remind myself and others of the good things from the past week, big and small; to share ways to make the next week a positive one; and to serve as a record to look back on for the not-so-great days to come. The title comes from the song by The Cure.
