My name is Sonya, and I’m a writer and zinester who’s been working in one form or another since I learned to write. I started out sitting in bed, scribbling short stories in a black and white composition notebook; now I sit in bed scribbling multiple genres in fancier notebooks. I’ve also been blogging for about eight years, from Livejournal, to Xanga, to Blogger, and now to here. In addition, I currently publish two periodical zines, “One-Girl Bicycle Club” and “Small Parts: Prose Poems & Mini Stories,” while also working on various other writing.  You can also find me writing monthly YA book reviews for the International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club.

I like magic, feminism, and angry girl music of the indie rock persuasion. My favorite color is pink, my current food craving is Indian, and my favorite time of day is three a.m. (though I try not to see it too often). I don’t believe in guilty pleasures. I dream of traveling to a lot of places, but I don’t know if I could ever move too far from my family; I most often think about Seattle, Portland, and Ireland. I strongly believe in the semi-colon and the Oxford comma. I’m an INFP Ravenclaw.

I am currently working on a young adult novel and a poetry collection. I live in Western Massachusetts with my boyfriend, black cat, and snoring dog.
